Partner - James R. (Jim) Himmelwright, CPA
Jim is a native of the Auburn/Opelika area. He is a graduate of Auburn University and began his career with Ernst & Young in Birmingham. After leaving Ernst & Young, Jim moved back to Auburn and subsequently founded the firm with Hal Huguley. Jim currently serves as the firm's Managing Partner. Jim also serves both individual and business tax clients with a variety of services, including tax preparation, planning, and financial analysis. Additionally, Jim has an extensive understanding of area business and accounting management and regularly assists client management with business startups, growth and continuity planning.
Jim is married to wife Amy, and has two children. Jim is an avid tennis player, and also serves on his church finance committee.
Partner - Harrell D. (Hal) Huguley III, CPA
Hal is a native of Opelika. He graduated from Auburn University and began his career with 11 years working for the Internal Revenue Service in Montgomery. After leaving the IRS, Hal joined Jim Himmelwright in founding the firm. He possesses an extensive knowledge and understanding of IRS practices, interpretations, and case law and regularly represents clients in IRS disputes. He also assists local business and individuals with tax planning, tax return preparation, and estate planning.
Hal is married to wife Lori, and has two children. Hal enjoys golf and spending time with his children.
Partner - John B. Boles, CPA
John is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and an alumnus of Ernst & Young, LLP. He began his career in Ernst & Young's audit department in Atlanta. In 2001, John joined the firm as the audit manager and subsequently became a partner in 2002. John currently manages the firm's audit practice. His experience includes serving clients in the not-for-profit, governmental, construction, healthcare, retail, manufacturing and distribution industries. Additionally, John has provided a wide range of tax and planning services to large, publicly traded companies, small businesses, and individuals. John also currently provides audits to multiple organizations and businesses in accordance with the U.S. Office of Management and Budget Circular A-133, Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations, and Construction Contract Audits requirements.
John is married to wife Janie, and has three children. He is active in various area clubs and groups, including the Opelika Rotary, and serves on the boards of Leadership Lee County, the EAMC Foundation, and a local ministry organization.
Allyson N. Baker
Allyson graduated from Auburn University with both an undergraduate and graduate degree in Accounting and joined the firm in 2003. Her experience includes both public and private accounting experience. Allyson's responsibilities include preparing individual, corporate, partnership and not-for-profit tax returns, conducting reviews and compilations, and providing bookkeeping and payroll services to the firm's clients.
Ruth Blessing, CPA
Ruth is a native of Auburn and graduated from Bob Jones University and Auburn University with undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accounting. She began her career in 2003 as an auditor with Ernst & Young in Atlanta, Georgia. Ruth returned to Auburn and joined the firm in 2009. Her experience includes serving clients in the governmental, not-for-profit, manufacturing, and communications industries with audit, internal controls, and agreed-upon procedures engagements. She specializes in assisting clients with business process analysis, risk assessment, and process improvement.
Robert Foster, CPA
Robert is a graduate of Auburn University and began his career with Jackson-Thornton & Co. in Montgomery. He continued his career as a controller for various businesses before returning to public accounting and joined the firm in 2005. Robert brings more than 24 years of accounting experience to our engagement team, including a deep knowledge of individual tax planning and preparation and serves clients in the not-for-profit, retail, contracting and manufacturing industries. Robert also provides tax consulting and technical training for various accounting software packages.
Rodney Hawkins Jr., CPA
Rodney holds both an undergraduate and graduate degree in Accounting from Auburn University. He began his career at Carr, Riggs, & Ingram in Montgomery and joined the firm in January 2012. Rodney has experience in both the tax and audit arenas serving clients in the construction, not-for-profit, insurance, and financial services industries. Rodney currently serves as Treasurer for the East Alabama Society of CPAs.
Anna Keesee, CPA
Anna holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in accounting from Auburn University and has more than eight years of experience within the public accounting arena. She joined the firm in 2006. Anna specializes in audits, reviews and compilations of not-for-profit entities and also provides audits for various governmental entities and small businesses. Additionally, she has received specialized not-for-profit profit accounting training and serves as the firm's Not-for-profit and HUD Audit Technical Advisor. Anna also serves multiple audit clients with governmental grant and appropriations funding compliance requirements.
Cammie O'Connor, CPA
Cammie is a graduate of Auburn University. She began her career at a public accounting firm working in the tax department and continued in that role at various accounting firms around the United States. Cammie joined the firm in 2010. Her experience includes working with individual, business, and pension plan tax returns. She also has conducted employee tax preparation training for multiple accounting firms and led development of staff tax procedures for tax return preparation.
Lil Serviss, CPA
Lil is a graduate of Auburn University with both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accounting. Lil worked with Ernst & Young in Birmingham, Alabama for six years. She also worked with Warren Averett, Sellers Richardson, and Saks, Incorporated while living in Birmingham. Lil joined the firm in 2011 and brings over 16 years of experience in business, individual, and not-for-profit tax. Lil’s work includes business tax planning, strategy, and compliance for both public and private companies, as well as tax compliance for S corporations, partnerships, corporations, individuals, and not-for-profits. Additionally, Lil assists clients with business and segment disposal tax planning. Lil currently serves as a business tax technical advisor for the firm.
